The research activity of the team focuses on the design of new strategies for the vectorisation of therapeutic molecules and new tools for imaging. Chemistry plays a key role in the synthesis and characterisation of novel conjugates endowed of different properties.

Biography

Alberto Bianco is Director of Research in the Immunology, Immunopathology and Therapeutic Chemistry Unit at Strasbourg's Institut de biologie moléculaire et cellulaire (IBMC), and was awarded the CNRS silver medal in 2019. He is developing his research activity at the interface between chemistry and biology. For several years, he has been particularly interested in the biomedical applications of multifunctional carbon-based nanomaterials.
