Silver medal for Irene Regeni and Ferran Esteve during the EUChems Awards 2026!

It was during the 10th edition of the EUChems Chemistry Congress, held in Antwerp on July 15, that our two young colleagues Irene Regeni and Ferran Esteve were awarded the Silver Medal as part of the Young Chemists Competition in the "Young Researchers" category.

The Institute of Supramolecular Science and Engineering is immensely proud of their success, which once again highlights the quality and originality of their research.

Ferran, a recipient of a Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowship, works on imination reactions in water alongside Professor Jean-Marie Lehn. Irene, who leads the "Bioinorganic Supramolecular Chemistry" team, aims to design and synthesize biocompatible supramolecular architectures for targeted drug delivery, de novo artificial enzymes, and sustainable catalysis.
