Short bio-note: Roza Szweda did her PhD in Poland, at the Center of Polymer and Carbon Materials, Polish Academy of Science working on polymer-peptide conjugates. She defended her PhD with distinction at AGH University of Technology in Kraków. After obtaining her PhD degree, she moved to Strasbourg and joined the group of Prof. Jean Francois Lutz, Institute Charles Sadron CNRS. Next, she spent a half year at ISIS as a project manager of the ITN Creanet coordinated by Prof. Thomas Hermans.

Two years ago, she established her independent research team at the Polish Centre of Technology Development situated in Wrocław, the flagship institute of the Łukasiewicz Research Network. In a short time, she got several grant awards from the National Science Centre, the National Centre of Research and Development, and the Łukasiewicz Centre, all of which allowed her to build and run a team. For her work, she was awarded by the Polish Ministry of Science and Education with a scholarship for outstanding young scientists and was among the laureates of the Creative of Wrocław selected by the president of the City.
